Earthshine in August

Moon rise on 13 August 2004 at 5:24 a.m. The moon was very close to new, but the rest of it was clearly visible due to bright earth reflection, called earthshine. Photo Technical Data Size of the original: 2336 x 2259 pixels aperture for the Moon: f/4, exposure 1s, ISO 400; the background came from a different exopsure. Canon EOS 1Ds with a 400mm lens.
