Smokey Sunset

On July 8, 2003, almost on anniversary of the famous Hayman fire, another fire re-visited our area. The Sun was about 50x dimmer than normal, so no filters or double exposures were applied. This was one of the most red sunsets I've seen. The entire smoke cloud is shown on the left insert (made 33 min. before the top picture was made; wide angle: with a 16 mm lens), and the Sun path is shown on the right (shots every 15 s).
