Mars in August 2003

In 27th August of 2003 Mars was the closest to Earth in 60,000 years. This photo was made 2 days later, when some thin clouds were present. The clouds diffused Mars light making it much larger in appearance than it really was. Also, a long exposure contributed to its size.
